    The General Transport Authority announced that the decision to provide a "cargo document" on all services in the activity of transporting goods in the Kingdom will be mandatory at the beginning of next March, and this decision includes establishments and individual carriers working in addition to freight brokers and companies guiding vehicles transporting goods, stressing that this step that is being taken Automatically through the "Naql" portal, it comes with the aim of raising the level of quality and performance in the transfer process.​

    Munir Al-Harbi, the supervisor of the Cities Entry Project at the Public Authority for Transport, mentioned this during a workshop organized by the Asharqia Chamber represented by the Logistics Committee on Sunday (February 26, 2023), explaining that the document is evidence of the carrier’s receipt of the goods, in the condition shown in it, to be delivered to the consignee in the same condition.

    During the workshop, which was moderated by a member of the Logistics Committee, Saif Al-Saif, he added that the document contains detailed data, such as data of the sender and consignee, shipment information, movable table, transportation fees, flight details and carrier data, and also includes licensees' data, as it enables them to immediately view the documents. and verify shipment information and status electronically, as the electronic linking of facilities to the “Naql” portalIt aims to monitor and control the quality of services provided, manage transport operations and raise their efficiency, and regulate the contractual relationship between the parties to the transport process. The electronic link with the transport portal and registration through the (cargo documentation) service will contribute to increasing the level of transparency of data, and ensuring dealing with licensed carriers that comply with security requirements. and safety.


    He stressed that this electronic document is an important step towards regulating transport operations in the activity of transporting goods and freight brokers on land roads in the Kingdom, and it prepares the basic base for transport operations and services and keeping abreast of all changes and developments in the logistic sector.

    Al-Harbi stated that the "Naql" portal is the platform through which the document can be issued, obtained, modified, closed and cancelled. Pointing out that this portal was made to raise the quality of service, enhance the security and safety of transportation operations and facilitate them, and ensure the preservation of the rights and responsibilities of all parties in the process, by achieving regularity for the driver and the vehicle, and enabling the beneficiaries to immediately view the details of the transportation process.
